Technical Papers
One significant technical piece is called There Is No “We”, which explains that I don’t speak for anyone but myself; I have kept it separate from everything else so it is easy to reference in email.
I've also written An Introduction to Modern Cryptography. This piece explains how cryptography (encryption, digital signatures, and the like) work in simple, easy-to-understand terms. It progresses from the most simple explanations to more complex ones so that the reader can choose to learn only what he or she needs to know.
Poetry, Prose, and Flash Fiction
I have collected almost all of my non-technical writings into An Orange in Flight, including the formerly separate Lacking Serious Literary, Artistic, Political, or Scientific Value. An Orange in Flight contains commentaries, opinion pieces, poetry, and flash fiction. It is also available in PDF.
As a student of creative writing, I’ve built several portfolios, some of which are available here. At the moment, the only one that’s available is Cadaverhood (PDF), the one from my ENGL 4351 class at the University of Houston with Bruce Smith.
If you're interested in the raw work, or just what the latest stuff is, take a look at my writings repository. You can see each piece as it develops, often including rationales for each change. A log of every change is available on the log tab, and the current state of all the pieces is available on the tree tab.
